The Bay of Naples Inn, which faced Mount Washington and the east side of the White Mountains, was a popular resort during the early 20th century. Edward Leo Peter McMahon Jr. (March 6, 1923 – June 23, 2009) was an American announcer, game show host, comedian, actor and singer. McMahon was Johnny Carson’s sidekick, announcer and second banana on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson from 1962 to 1992.
In his teenage years he was from Mexico, Maine where he was a carnival barker and bingo caller.
