Marsha Feemster Scherer

With over 21 years in the travel industry, I thought I had seen and experienced it all. Little did I know I only scratched the surface. There is so much more to enjoy and explore in these United States than I ever could have imagined. My passion is to make touring as memorable an experience for our friends/customers as we possibly can.

I graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with a Marketing degree (with minors in Business Administration and Graphic Design). In my past life I have always worked in marketing and customer service. Now, I create all the brochures, manage our website, and play on Travel Masters NWA’s social media pages all the time!

We love creating custom tour Itineraries with meaning – we love touring the USA and our National Parks and we have come up with tours like Celebrate America, National Parks Odyssey, Great American Scenic Safari and Hawaii by Motorcoach! (to name a few).

Attention to detail and customer-focused, working in group travel has been the job of a lifetime. Hearing comments like, “I’ve always wanted to go there” or “I never dreamed this would be so beautiful”; “I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E-D IT”, makes our business so much more than a job. We experience bucket list moments with our travelers to places they have waited a lifetime to visit – and it is special to share those moments with them. I am so blessed to have this opportunity and I want to share my passion for travel with everyone.

I am the proud co-owner of Travel Masters NWA and look forward to a bright future of fun, travel and creating memorable experiences for all of us. We love what we do, and it shows! So, Come Join the Fun!

What is one of Marsha’s memorable moments . . .

Riding a jet powered boat on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon! We did this several years ago and it was so much fun. We took another group a couple years ago – it was an experience of a lifetime! I never heard so much laughing, everyone was having fun – screaming like kids – and the smiles (except maybe the front seat that got very wet . . .)

Travel has been my second career so to speak. In my previous life I spent seven years serving my country in the United State Army followed by 19 years working for the National Security Agency in places like Okinawa, Germany, England and the USA. I got a taste of the travel bug being stationed in the Far East and Europe which only served to fuel what was a growing passion to visit and explore places I had previously only heard of.

Since “retiring” in 2002, moving to Arkansas and taking a position at a local Bank with Marsha, my love for traveling the United States, Canada and, let’s face it, the World was blossoming. The more I traveled, the more I wanted to travel. And what better way to see the sights than to do it with your wife and closest friends.

Creating, planning and developing tours from start to finish, you get to watch them grow into unforgettable experiences. Watching this first-hand, there is no better type of satisfaction than seeing the smiles and pure joy on the faces and in the lives of those that have trusted us to deliver the goods. I like to think we are doing just that.

I am the co-owner of Travel Masters NWA with Marsha and I cannot think of a better partner to take this business to the next level. It’s Time for a New Adventure. Are you with me?

What is one of Frank’s memorable moments . . .

Riding around Cuba in a 1952 Chevy Convertible. Hearing stories from the driver and guide was very interesting. Visiting a place that you never in your dreams thought you’d visit. We were on one of our speciality trips: “Cuba by Motorcoach” with 45 travel friends . . . Now we can all say “Cuba – Bucket List Visit . . . CHECK!

Looking forward to 2022 – we have a great tour line-up like: Coastal Georgia!, Escape to the Capes, Oh what a Gem! IDAHO!, Canada’s – Agawa Canyon & Niagara Falls and many, many more!

Travel Masters NWA

We have been fortunate to have visited each of the 50 United States and many of our National Parks leading our tours. Cruises by motor coach to places like Jamaica, Bahamas, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Nova Scotia and yes, even Cuba. International tours to great places like Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico. Sometimes we get a full motor coach and don’t even tell our travelers where we are going – and our mystery tours are super popular each year! We really do LOVE our travelers – we have return customers again and again with several travelers that have gone on 25, 50 and yes even over 100 tours with us!

We have been extensively involved in group travel for over 19 years. What started as a customer service tool for a local bank, gained us the experience and knowledge to grow from smaller tours to extended tours like our 19-day motor coach tour to the Canadian Rockies, or our 23-day tour Hawaii by Motor coach.

In 2002 with only one week on the job Marsha led her first tour to Alaska! Fast forward to July & August 2022 Marsha & Frank will be leading two Alaska Cruise Tours! We love to see the smiles on traveler’s faces when they visit their “bucket list” destinations!

We have been featured in a Travel Industry magazine, taught a class at a Travel convention as well as being sought out for opinions on what and how we make what we do work. But, every tour we plan is customized to give our customers more bang for their buck. More experiences, more fun and more reasons to travel with us over-and-over again. And when they keep coming back again and again, that truly is all the validation we need!

Our Family

We could not have been this successful or had this much fun without the love and support of our family. We have three grown children. Andrea and her husband Chris (along with our grandkids Thompson and Trinidy) live in Farmington, Arkansas. Theo just finished his career with the United States Army and now lives in Arizona. Kevin and his wife Alissa live in Springdale, Arkansas. Both of Frank’s parents live in New Jersey. Marsha’s parents live in Gentry and can often be seen on Travel Masters Tours.

We about forgot to mention our two purrrrfect “co-workers”, Miss Stache (sis) and Bandit (the big boy) our two cats – keep us grounded. Sometimes when we have our suitcases out ready to pack the big boy will lay on it – we are still trying to figure out if he just wants to go along or trying to get us to stay home more (sorry, fella).
